Well its almost been a month since I've updated and quite a bit has happened. First we will start off with...I have a job! I am now the newest addition to the teaching staff at Kaplan College. I will be teaching their communications classes this quarter! Im really excited about it! Kinda nervous but then again who wouldnt be? I start that next week. I have to start doing lesson plans sometime soon. I'll possibly knock some out this weekend while I'm in Amarillo for volleyball.
Next, the table...its actually coming along quite better than I expected. We got the table and four chairs all sanded and striped down a couple weekends ago. We even got one whole chair painted, stained, and sealed before Mother Nature had a mood swing and sent us some hurricane force winds the next day. So we have one complete chair and three stained seats on the other chairs. We still have the leaf of the table and two chairs here that need to go through the process. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us this weekend because my sweet boyfriend is going to be working on getting them finished.
Packing is slowly coming along. Its just hard to pack things up when we are still going to be here for about 2 weeks. Time seems to be crawling along. But we do have about 10-12 boxes packed up. So not too bad. Next weekend will will be packing up everything for sure!!
My girls are doing great, volleyball is rolling right along at the pace it should. I'm very proud at how hard the girls have been working lately. I can see improvements every day in them! I hope they see it too!! We have a scrimmage tonight and then we are going to Amarillo this weekend for a tournament, which will be our last pilgrimage to Amarillo! (Thank Goodness!) Nothing against Amarillo, but the drive sucks especially when you are doing it alone.
JT is doing great at work. They are definitely keeping him busy. But as a special little fun time, he went to a fishing tournament this last weekend with a man he sells chemical to. He had a great time out on the lake. I'm really glad that he was able to go.
Tonight is my birthday party!! 70's roller disco!! Super excited about it!! Last night JT and I made goody bags for everyone to take home!! haha!! Its great to act like a little kid sometimes!! Now hopefully no one hurts themselves trying to skate! I know I havent skated in FOREVER!! So it should be fun to watch.
Have a great rest of the week and weekend...then ON TO MARCH!
