Last Day of 2009

As the day comes to an end and the year 2009 is wrapping up, I can only think about the past year and the things that happened. 2009 was a great year. Many chapters in life ended and many new ones began. I am blessed beyond words to even explain how amazing this life of mine is.

Now I am looking forward to the promises in the future and the endless possibilities. I have been thinking a lot today about some resolutions to make for next year. This is what I came up with.

1. Get back down to a healthy weight.
2. Enjoy life. Stop worrying about the small things.
3. Be more spontaneous
4. Enjoy the company around me and accept the fact that some friends dont always make it into the future.

I am looking forward to our New Years Eve party tonight. I cant wait to ring in the new year with some of my most favorite people. It couldn't be any better!!

Peace out 2009...Hello 2010

Ho Ho Hope this month is over soon

So call me a scrooge or whatever you want, but my holiday spirit has suddenly disappeared. I was very excited to get the tree up and the new garland I made up, but now I am seriously ready for it to come down. I am also ready for the mall and every other place in town to stop looking like a mad house. My aphephobia is off the radar right now. Its not a fun thing for me. However, today I completely finished my Christmas shopping for my family. Which makes me very happy but now they are sitting on my table. Waiting to be wrapped. I'm hoping a wrapping fairy drops by soon to do them for me. Knowing me and my mood...they will be wrapped in the final moments of me leaving for my parents house on Christmas Eve.

Girls Only Christmas party was great!! We had some delicious wine-a-ritas and played Guesstures. It was loads of fun!! I also got a beautiful picture that Chelsea painted as my gift! I love it!!

Melissa cooked dinner for us last week and it was delicious!! We watched Inglorious Bastards and exchanged gifts. She got me a beautiful wall decoration that has already made its self a home above our bed. She left for RR Saturday while we were in San Angelo for Eastman Christmas. She wont be back till the 28th...it makes me sad. But the exciting news is that she is hopefully getting a puppy while she is home. Her and Corey have bestowed the honor of "godparents" to JT and I. We are pretty excited!!

Well this week will consist of:
Tuesday- Hockey Game
Wednesday-Date Night
Thursday- JT and I are both going home to our parents
Friday- Christmas in both Odessa and Grady
Saturday- Back to Odessa for the Green Christmas

Should be a pretty busy week.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and is safe in their traveling!!

Happy Holidays

Well its 9 days until Christmas which makes me pretty excited!! JT and I decided to get a new tv and tv stand as our Christmas presents this year. The hard part about that was keeping Mr. JT from going and buying the whole thing before it was even December. We have had our new set up for 5 days now and things are going very well. HAHA

Last night was the KOB Christmas party at mom's house. I went over early to help her clean up for everyone to come over. She was very grateful for my help and I was glad I could do something constructive for her. We had a great time. For dinner Margie made chicken enchiladas and they were delicious!! All the rest of the ladies brought a side item such as rice, beans, bread, and desserts. I made queso and brough chips. After dinner we did a present exchange. I recieved a Christmas ornament! Its so cute. Its a bright red stocking with jingle bells on it!! LOVE IT!!

Tonight I am going to Kristi's "Girls Only Christmas Party" and I must say I am very much looking forward to it!! I havent seen Kristi or Karah in what seems like forever so getting to see them tonight will be a great gift! I am taking Melissa with me to the party. I figure she would like to get in on the win-a-rita action. While we are out, JT and Corey are going to hang out. Which will probably consist of beer and wii on the big screen.

Saturday JT and I will be going to San Angelo to celebrate Christmas with his grandmother and his dad's side of the family. I am very thankful that our families live so close and we can make day trips for holidays. So much easier!!

Things are looking up for the new year which is just around the corner. I passed my content area test a few weeks ago and I have already scheduled my observation hours at Nimitz. I am very excited to get that part going!!
